After graduating from Babes-Bolai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Raluca Abăseacă obtained a PhD degree in Political Science from Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium with a thesis on social movements in Central and Eastern Europe. She is an Associate Researcher at Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bucharest. She collaborated with NGOs in Belgium and was an editor, researcher and translator.
